This article is to prove to people that viruses are more deadly then bacteria. One reason that viruses
are more deadly than bacteria is because of the certain diseases that each is grouped with. For example,
one viral disease is HIV, which is one of the deadliest viruses ever, it is a disease that can be sexually
transmitted, it can also be transmitted through bodily fluids. HIV can and has killed many innocent people.
Another disease that viruses are linked with is cancer, it isn't yet proven but some scientists say
that viruses can play a role in about 5 percent of tumors. 5 percent may not seem like alot but considering
the amount of cancer worldwide it is actually an incredibly hight number. This is one reason why viruses are
more deadly than bacteria.
Although viruses are more deadly than bacteria some people believe that bacteria are more deadly
because they think that bacteria can be worse. Bacterial pathogens are called parasites and they are the
bad type of bacteria. Some diseases caused by bacteria are tuberculosis, E. Coli, Cholera, Syphilis, and
the Typhoid Fever. Even thought there are bad bacteria there can also be good bacteria. Some bacteria help
protect crops and the bacteria that live in the intestines of humans are essential to digesting food. So even
though there a lot of bad bacteria there are also a lot of good bacteria. This is another one of the reasons
that viruses are more deadly than bacteria.
Viruses on the other hand don't have a lot of good things that they are associated with. One good thing
that they are used for is to try and prevent a virus. When you get a flu shot or a vaccination they are
actually putting a little bit of the virus into you. At first I'm sure you are saying, well to prevent a virus why
would they put it into me? Well, some scientists say, the blood cells and defense systems in your body
make a type of defense for every disease that enters your body to fight the disease, that is why you will
most likely only get chicken pox once in your life because your body isn't ready for it the first time but after
that your body becomes immune and makes a defense for it. So when they put a little of the virus into you
it actually helps you in the long run. Another reason viruses are worse is they are stronger then bacteria as
in being able to break through defenses. Since viruses aren't used for as many good things and I think the
diseases associated with viruses are worse then those associated with bacteria, that is why viral diseases
are worse then bacterial diseases.
Although many people believe that viruses are worse then bacteria some people think otherwise. This is
why many people think viruses are worse. One reason people believe they're worse is because of the
diseases they have been associated with such as HIV as stated earlier in this article. About 2.7 million
children in the world have HIV/AIDS and all of them will almost definitely die, considering there is no cure for
HIV. That alone is an amazing number and it will keep on rising until they find a cure for the deadly virus.
Another reason that people think viruses are more deadly is because they can even infect bacteria. For
example if a person had a normal bacterial disease but the bacteria is infected with a virus then the
bacterial disease turns into a viral disease and it can become worse. Some bacteria can be bad too but not
as bad and as deadly as viruses. This is just one more reason viruses are definetly worse then bacteria.
So as you can tell after you've read the story many people and scientists believe viruses are worse then
bacteria. The first reason that was stated was because of the certain types of diseases viruses are
associated with. The second paragraph was comparing the good things that bacteria an can do but then
also the bad things that they can do. The third was the many bad things that viruses do and the small
amount of good things that they can do. So, as you can tell after reading this story there shouldn't be
anymore debate as to which of these two are deadlier. The awnser is obviously viruses.

Deadly Debate: Viruses VS Bacteria
This article is to prove to people that viruses are more deadly then bacteria. Viruses are one of the deadliest things in the world even though they are small they can still do a lot of damage. Currently there are no cure for many of the worst viruses and this is a reason they are so much worse then bacteria. As you will read throughout this article there are many reasons that viruses are worse then bacteria.
One reason that viruses are more deadly than bacteria is because of the certain diseases that each is grouped with. For example, one viral disease is HIV, which is one of the deadliest viruses ever, it is a disease that can be sexually transmitted it can also be transmitted through bodily fluids . 8.SI.1.1 Explain how you tell if resources for your project are reliable. (Websites, books, newspapers, magazines, etc.) (Reliability can be determined by currency, credibility, authority, etc. Depending on the curriculum topic). I can tell if resources for my project are reliable by knowing how current they are. Also, I can tell by seeing if they are blocked by the school because if they aren't then they are most likely reliable. I also know that the website I used was reliable because the teachers told us that the website would be a very reliable one.
8.SI.1.2 How were the websites and information relevant for your project? The websites and information that I used were relevant for my project because they had all the information I needed to do the project. They were also relevant because if I didn't have that information then I wouldn't be able to write a story that had facts in it.
8.SI.1.3 How do you evaluate resources for point of view, bias, values, or intent of information? If the resource has any of these things I wouldn't use it because there might be some facts but not all of the information would be true. An example of something that has bias would be a blog because anybody can just put their opinion in a blog but an article that is written on a reliable website has all facts and no bias or point of view.
8.RP.1.1 How did you work on the project with other students. How were they involved with your project? One way I worked on this project with other students is by doing peer editing, which is when me and a partner checked each others papers for errors such as spelling and correct grammar. We had to do this with our classmates so we worked with each other in this way. Other students were involved in another way to, since we had to look up most of our information on websites we helped each other by giving each other good websites that we had found.
8.RP.1.2 How did you work on the project independently? I worked on the project independently by typing my own paper and doing all of my own work. I also didn't copy other people or use the exact words that I found on the websites I put everything in my own words.
8.SE.1.1 Explain ethical behavior ( copyright, not plagiarizing, netiquette ) when using have on their websites this is know as copyright if you copy and paste and you can be in big trouble if you do. While using the resources I used I didn't just copy and paste the exact words I used some of the facts but I put them in my own words so I wouldn't be in trouble for copyrighting.
8.SE.1.2 How do you use safety precautions when using online resources (personal information, passwords, etc.) What precautions did you take to protect you and your work when using the computers and online resources? I think it is very important to use safety precautions while using the computer, one way I use safety precautions is saving my work about every ten minutes or so just in case the computer crashes because you never know when something with the computer is going to mess up, sometimes I also use a flash drive.
8.TT.1.1 What technology did you use to complete the project? (computer, websites, wiki, etc.)? The technology I used for this project was a net book computer and ncwiseowl and also many websites including wikispaces. resources. How did you use resources and use them correctly, so that you didn't violate any copyright laws? When using resources it isn't right to copy and paste the information that they
